Application Tips
Blush and bronzers
Everyone at one point has been told, "apply blush to the apples of your cheeks", or "apply along your cheekbone". PLEASE FORGET those little pearls of wisdom. You either end up looking like someone slapped you on both cheeks with a strap, or like a clown with two circles on your cheeks. Hmmm... is that the look you really want to have?
As illustrated below, blushers and bronzers should be applied to look natural. As always, start light, it's easier to add more color as needed than trying to take too much color off. Start with your cheeks, brushing back towards your hairline. This is where your largest amount of color should be concentrated, but DO NOT stop there. Take your brush and dust a light amount over forehead, chin, down your nose, and under eyes. This technique produces the same effect as a tan would. Those are the natural areas sun hits when you are outside.
bronzers
Don't make the mistake of thinking a bronzer is like a self-tanner. It does not go on all-over in a solid layer. Bronzing powders enhance your face and body to give you a natural, sunkissed glow. Bronzers should be applied as shown below for the face. The shoulders, collarbones, and cleavage are also great areas to highlight with a bronzer. Strategically placed bronzer between your cleavage can give the illusion of fullness. Great tip for those of use who need the help!
colors
Don't be afraid of different colors. Most of use get stuck in a rut of using one blush color, because it feels safe. Experiment with different shades. You may be surprised at what looks good! Most all of my blush colors were formulated to be universal. Each color has a specific base color, but will blend and adapt to your individual skin tone to make it uniquely yours!
